FAQ

Renting a cottage in Quebec City region

What's the difference between Stoneham and Mont-Sainte-Anne?
Stoneham is 20 minutes from Old Quebec (northwest), more compact (43 trails, 420 m vertical), strong on night skiing and family programming. Mont-Sainte-Anne is 30 minutes (east side), bigger domain (71 trails, 625 m vertical), with St. Lawrence views. For a chalet weekend that mixes ski + Old Quebec, Stoneham is more convenient; for serious skiing, Mont-Sainte-Anne wins.
How much does a chalet near Quebec City cost?
Rates start around $220/night off-season for small Lac-Beauport or Saint-Ferréol chalets, climbing to $600–$900/night for large Stoneham or Île d'Orléans properties in peak season. Median across the regional portfolio is $360/night.
Can I rent a chalet on Île d'Orléans?
Yes — we operate several chalets across the island's six parishes. Most offer river or Laurentian views and sit 15–25 minutes from Old Quebec via the bridge. Bill 67 (CITQ) applies: every island property we rent holds a valid permit.
Are there ski-in/ski-out chalets in the region?
Yes — primarily at Stoneham (Le Relais and north slopes) and around Mont-Sainte-Anne (Beaupré and Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges). Filter by "ski-in/out" in the Quebec City region catalog to see only those.
When should I book a ski weekend here?
January-March weekends: 6–10 weeks ahead. March break (early March): 4–6 months ahead. Carnaval de Québec (late January–early February): as early as you can — that's the regional peak.
Are the chalets CITQ-registered?
Every chalet in the Capitale-Nationale on this site holds a valid CITQ permit, per Bill 67 in force since September 2023. The number appears on every property listing and in your booking confirmation.
