Mont-Tremblant isn’t one place — it’s a constellation. The pedestrian resort village sits at the foot of the gondola, the actual town (long called Saint-Jovite) is ten minutes south, and the chalets we list are spread across both, plus the Lac Tremblant waterfront, the quieter Lac-Supérieur north side, and the smaller lakes between (Ouimet, Duhamel, Forget). Picking the right zone is the most important booking decision you’ll make here.

The resort is the easy answer — ski-in/out, restaurants, après. It’s also the most expensive, the most kid-of-conference, and the most touristy. The lakefront options give you the same mountain access plus an actual lake for summer; the Saint-Jovite and Lac-Supérieur options give you 30–40% better $/night, a real local town for groceries and dinner, and a 10-minute drive to the lifts.

Whatever you pick, we book direct. No platform service fees, real local hands-on support, and CITQ permits on every property — Mont-Tremblant has been one of the strictest STR enforcement zones in Quebec since 2019, and we only list compliant inventory.

Where to stay

The six Mont-Tremblant zones (and how to pick)

  • Tremblant Resort village

  • Lac Tremblant

The lake the resort sits on — 13 km long, fjord-shaped. Lakeside cottages with private docks, 5–10 min from the lifts. The premium summer + winter combo.

  • Lac-Supérieur (north side)

The quieter back-door — gateway to Mont-Tremblant National Park. Wilder lakes, set-back chalets, 10 min to the resort. Better value than the village for groups.

    Browse Lac-Supérieur
  • Saint-Jovite (downtown Mont-Tremblant)

The original Mont-Tremblant town — grocery, restaurants, pharmacy. 8 minutes to the resort. Where most full-service chalets and the local life actually are.

  • Lac Ouimet

Between the resort and Saint-Jovite — quiet lake, walking-distance restaurants, classic lakefront log homes. Good shoulder-season value.

    Browse Lac Ouimet
  • Lac Duhamel / Lac Forget

Smaller lakes 15 min south, sandy beaches in summer, plowed access in winter. Family-favorite price point with full lake access.

FAQ

Booking a Mont-Tremblant cottage — what to know

How much does a cottage at Mont-Tremblant cost?
Off-season (April–May, October–November) starts around $250/night for small chalets. Peak ski season (Christmas–March break) and summer weekends climb to $700–$1,400/night for larger ski-in/out properties. Median nightly across our Tremblant inventory is roughly $475.
What's the difference between Tremblant Resort and Mont-Tremblant town?
Tremblant Resort is the pedestrian village at the foot of the mountain — privately owned by Alterra, manicured, full of bars and restaurants, expensive. Mont-Tremblant town (Saint-Jovite area) is the actual municipality 10 minutes away with grocery stores, real restaurants, and most of the local services. Most large chalets are around the town, not at the resort.
Are there ski-in/ski-out cottages?
Yes — Versant Soleil and Tremblant Resort have direct ski-in/out condos and townhomes. They're our highest-priced inventory and book up 4–6 months ahead for peak season. We list them under the resort filter in the catalog.
How long is the drive from Montreal to Mont-Tremblant?
Two hours from downtown Montreal via Highway 15 north then Route 117. Sunday evening traffic in peak season can stretch the return leg to 3 h+ — leaving Sunday morning beats the rush. From Trudeau airport count 2 h 15.
Is Mont-Tremblant worth it in summer?
Yes — arguably better than winter for value. The lake, the gondola, golf, mountain biking, hiking in the national park. Rates drop 25–40% from peak winter, weekdays in June and September can be excellent.
Are there cottages with a private hot tub at Mont-Tremblant?
Yes, and we have a dedicated hot-tub Laurentians page that includes the Tremblant inventory specifically. About 60% of our Tremblant chalets have a private outdoor hot tub.
